Chinese Women Cardiologists - Grant

In February, 2010 AWIU partnered with the Sister to Sister Foundation to bring two Chinese Cardiologists to the United States.  

Yundai Chen and Meilin Lui both practicing cardiologists in China came to the US to study the latest in cardiology.  They visited outstanding hospitals in Chicago, Washington, DC, Boston and Los Angeles.  In Chicago and Washington, DC they were hosted by AWIU members.  AWIU member, Irene Pollin hosted an event in Maryland for them to meet with members of the DC health community.

They also took back to China techniques on public health education.  They observed that public health education in the US has improved heart health here.   Below are Yundai and Meilin with Anne Tonks and Lisa Tate, Executive Director of Women's Heart in Washington, DC
