Before Applying

Applying for a Grant can be a lengthy process.  First the grantee must have a specific program of activities and/or study. AWIU DOES NOT fund degree programs. The programs we do fund are for specific and generally time limited programs of several weeks or several months.

Criteria

AWIU supports projects that meet one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Education
  2. Skill training
  3. Health
  4. Entrepreneurship
  5. Advocacy

Grant Application

  • AWIU provides grants to grassroots women’s groups in developing countries for short-term, concrete projects. These projects typically support advancement for women in the areas of education, skill training, health, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. AWIU supports projects that meet one or more of the following criteria:
