Lindsay Burr is the Chief Executive Officer of Yarbrough Group, a company that focuses on organizational development and interpersonal communication. Lindsay’s focus is on helping people navigate systems by communicating more clearly with themselves and with others. She loves supporting people’s abilities to achieve goals that matter to them. Her specialty is on navigating ambiguity, transforming conflict, communicating across diverse experiences, and using polarities to more easily navigate complex systems. Lindsay has developed and implemented trainings on leadership, influence, resilience, building trust, creativity/innovation, managing up, conflict, power, and authenticity. She has worked with membership organizations, unions, government agencies both federal and state level, multi-national companies, military, policy firms, NGOs and more.
Based in Washington, DC, much of Lindsay’s background is politically focused. Lindsay worked with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Governance where she created learning and best practice sharing opportunities for members of parliament from over 20 countries so their governments could accomplish goals in innovative ways. She also ran a congressional campaign and worked in policy and elections.
Lindsay is currently a Senior Fellow at the George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (CEPL), Board Chair for Creative Crisis Leadership (CCL), Facilitation Leader at Creative Problem Solving Institute (CPSI) and author of 2 chapters on the use of Polarity Theory in leadership.
