Earlie Douglas

Earlie joined AWIU in 2015, sponsored by Jane Wetzel, and has been an active member ever since. She has contributed to the IWOC Hostess Committee for nine years and currently serves on the AWIU Board. In addition, she is part of the Finance and Membership Committees and is honored to be co-chairing the 2025 Hostess Team.

As a Board Member of the Pasadena-Altadena Links, Incorporated, she held the role of Corresponding Secretary. She’s had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including Chair of the Annual Fundraising, Chair of the International Trends and Services Facet, and Audit Chair for two terms. Currently, she co-chairs the Development Committee, and she is also active on the Finance, Membership, and Health and Human Services Committees.

Professionally, she has dedicated over 35 years to teaching as a Professor in the Computer Information Systems Department at Pasadena City College. She played a key role in developing many of the current CIS courses and has taught a wide range of subjects, including Programming, Database Management, Web Page Design, Operating Systems, Systems Analysis, and Microsoft Office.

She holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Business from the University of Memphis.

A proud Altadena resident for the past 25 years, she is married with two children and eight grandchildren.
