Isabella (Isa) Berkeley is a Nonprofit Partnerships Specialist at Grassroots
Analytics , a tech start-up democratizing political and nonprofit fundraising by
integrating grassroots donors. Prior to this, she worked as a Strategy and Design
Associate at Democracy International (DI) , where she managed U.S. Government
and multilateral bids and developed technical proposals on democracy, human rights,
and governance. Previously, Isabella served as a Global Health Associate at Kaizen,
a Tetra Tech Company , where she designed and secured funding for initiatives aimed
at strengthening health systems and advancing community-based solutions ,
particularly in maternal and child health . She also contributed to USAID-funded
programs such as the Pakistan Climate Smart Agriculture Initiative and the Ethiopia
Learning Analytics Activity .
Her experience extends to research with the NSF-funded Research on Policy
Implementation Lab , where she examined networks of influence in global aid , and
to communications work with the International Rescue Committee . A graduate of
American University’s School of International Service , Isabella holds a B.A. in
International Studies with a focus on global inequality and development in Latin
America and the Caribbean. Fluent in English and Spanish, her commitment to
democratizing the global health space is grounded in her lived experiences across
Guatemala, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Ghana, and Thailand.
