I became a member of American Women for International Understanding in September 2001. I have over 30 years of hands-on leadership experience with non-profit organizations and have been trained at both the national and local levels. My focus on volunteer career development, multiculturalism, fundraising and leadership has enabled me to assist organizations as they make an impact on the communities they serve. My discretionary time has been interacting with others who feel a responsibility to be change agents for some of society’s ills and for those who need a voice in the world. I consider my occupation to be that of a Professional Volunteer.
As a Past-President of several non-profit Boards (including AWIU), and with extensive boardsmanship at the Executive Committee levels, I feel a deep commitment to integrity in the fundraising process and donor stewardship.
2020-2008: Co-founding Chair of American Women for International Understanding’s Signature event: The International Women of Courage Celebration. Currently Advisor to the IWOC committee.
2011: President, American Women for International Understanding
2001-2003: International Assignment, Frankfurt Germany.
2002: Delegate of AWIU to Saudi Arabia
