Katherine Norton (she/her) is the Director of Career Learning and Experiences at George Washington University’s Center for Career Services, where she leads a team of industry-focused coaches specializing in: STEM, Health, International Affairs, Government, Arts, Media, Communications, and Career Exploration, supporting career development for GW undergraduates. In her time at GW, she has created alumni mentorship programs, developed career readiness curriculum, and supported international recruiting efforts. In addition to her role at the Center, Katherine is an adjunct lecturer at the Elliott School of International Affairs.
Before joining GW, Katherine worked abroad in Japan and Germany as a Contract Installation Manager for the Department of Defense’s Career Transition Assistance Programs, where she advised service members through significant career transitions.
Katherine holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin- at La Crosse, a Master of Public Administration from Troy University, and will complete a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Learning and Change from GW in 2026. She is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer (PARW-CC), a Myers-Briggs Certified Practitioner, and a Certified Federal Advisor (Partnership for Public Service). Katherine is a proud resident of DC along with her husband, Andy, and she is an active member of the DC Dragon Boat Club.
