Having been born in Burma, grew up in Thailand and lived in Iran and the UK, Onma Lwin was immediately drawn to AWIU and its mission. She attended the last International Women of Courage Celebration held in Washington DC in 2015 and joined the organization in 2015 Shortly after, in 2108, she chaired the IWOC Celebration and has remained on the committee for several years after.
Onma is currently Assistant Dean and Director of Career Services for USC Marshall School of Business. In this capacity, she leads a department that provides career services and programs for 4,200 business and accounting undergraduate students. She has worked at USC since 2010 supporting the MBA programs before transitioning to Undergraduate studies. Onma began her professional career in executive search working for leading global search firms Korn/Ferry, Heidrick & Struggles, and Spencer Stuart. She then joined Nestle USA as head of professional staffing and university relations.
Onma has a B.A. from Vassar College (1983) and an M.S. from the London School of Economics (1986). She is married to Chris DuMont, and they reside in San Marino and raised three children, Christopher, Katie, and Michael. Throughout their school years, she was actively involved in leadership roles with PTA, School Site Councils, Boy Scouts, and National Charity League. All three children have attended and assisted in multiple IWOC Celebrations. AWIU and IWOC has been a family affair.
