Virginia Brooks currently serves Washington, DC families, without the resources for paid mediators and attorneys, to achieve cooperation, and reach agreement and resolution in high-impact, family law cases in her community. Her deepest joy comes from being a mother, and serving other children in the communities where she has lived, whether in a development role for schools, as work-day volunteer providing Los Angeles children with uniforms, basics and supplies as part of Operation School Bell, or chaperoning the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus tours.
American Women for International Understanding appeals to her desire to assist women, mothers, and children, facing the most difficult circumstances — wars, poverty, lack of education, violence, and illness — to achieve a hopeful path that changes their lives, through education, innovation, hard work, and entrepreneurship –to attain economic advancement.
