Please join us for lunch with author, scholar, and policy analyst Diana Villiers Negroponte. Lady Diana is an adjunct professor of international relations at the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University, and Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. She is also a trustee emeritus of Freedom House, emeritus board member of Habitat for Humanity’s New York City chapter, chair of the Wilson Council at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and member of the Women’s Foreign Policy Group and serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Global Policy & Strategy at University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Clare Lockhart, a preeminent expert on Afghanistan, is director and co-founder of the Institute for State Effectiveness (ISE), which seeks to address the challenge of accountability and governance through a system-building approach across governments, markets and citizens. She served in Afghanistan as an adviser to the UN during the Bonn Process and to the Afghan government from 2001 to 2005, and has worked in several countries across Europe, Asia and Africa. She is the co-author of Fixing Failed States: A Framework for Rebuilding a Fractured World.
