Nancy Annick is a retired trust and estates attorney whose practice focused on estate planning, gift and estate tax, and probate and trust administration. She also taught Estate and Gift Tax Law at Loyola Law School-Los Angeles. Nancy started her career practicing corporate and securities law, including public company reporting.
Nancy has volunteered at several Southern California non-profits, including the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, Reading Partners and Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. Currently, she serves on the board of American Women for International Understanding (AWIU), where she is first vice president and a past chair of AWIU’s IWOC Celebration. Nancy has served on the boards of Polytechnic School and Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, and on the board of the Annapolis Parents Club of Southern California and Las Madrinas (affiliate of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles). When her children were younger, Nancy was a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician with SafetyBeltSafe, U.S.A. where she was a car seat checker and an educator on child passenger safety issues. She is a member of Pacific Council and International Citizen Diplomacy of Los Angeles.
Nancy holds a B.A. in Classics from Georgetown University, J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, and an L.L.M. in Tax from Loyola Law School-Los Angeles. She is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bars. During the 2006-2007 school year, Nancy and her family lived in Hong Kong where she studied Mandarin Chinese at Hong Kong University.
